Could you win our small business Santa competition?

We don’t know about you but we are feeling very Christmassy right now.

Carols on the stereo, mince pies for breakfast, gingerbread for lunch. You get the picture. Which is why we’ve decided that one lucky business deserves a gift from the Small Business Santa.

Simply head over to our entry page, let fill in your details, and you could be in line to receive a beautiful Christmas hamper, worth £200, full to the brim with enough festive treats to satisfy the whole office PLUS £200 to spend on online marketing for your business.

With that in mind, we’ve done a bit of research into what makes a good team, and come up with the following qualities:

1.Healthy debate

Yes, a team should be supportive – but good team members aren’t afraid to challenge each other, and get a little competitive. That spirited debate will lead to higher quality work in the long run.

2. Balance

Good teams have a mix of different personalities and strengths. The best teams will have introverts working with extroverts, creatives working with pragmatists, leaders working with supporters.

3. Clear objectives

Good teams know what they’re trying to achieve, and how each of their roles will help them get there. Once they know what their goals are, the best teams will go above and beyond reach them.

4. Humour

The best teams have fun together. Being able to enjoy work makes the hard times easier, the late nights more bearable, disagreements easily diffused.

5. A good leader

You knew this one didn’t you! Of course, at the helm of a good team is a good leader. Somebody who provides support and structure, feedback and direction.

So what are you waiting for? Nominate your team for the prize now!
